Uncommon Profiles: Andrew "Andy" Weuling

Say “hello” to Andrew "Andy" Weuling.

How long have you been working in Architecture?
Seven years + three years in the industry.

If you could travel back in time and pick any other era to design in, which would it be?
Hot take but I enjoy the expressionalism behind burtalism even if it didn't age well. It would be fun to design in its hayday with that freedom of form and exciting city building projects.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
I am an avid ski mountaineer in the winter and a rock climber and ultra marathoner in the summer. I love chasing the perfect turns, rock, trails, and pretty views out there.

What advice would you go back and give to yourself on day one as an architect?
Mega projects sound cool but architecture is way more fun when you can work on every aspect of a project rather than a little sub category.

Where do you find your creative inspiration?
For architecture wandering around cities and seeing the work of others. Ironic since my hobbies most often take me far away from populated areas.
